Tip of the Day!

Do you have "sponge-itis"?

Sponge-itis (noun) 1. over-used, smelly and gross cellulose material that sits on the edge of your sink and you barely want to touch, let alone use! 2. a made up word by Rebecca.

How do you fix this nasty, festering condition? Well there are three solutions:
1. pitch that nasty thing (but that isn't very environmentally happy)
2. put that darn thing in the diswasher--thank goodness that dishwashing liquid contains bleach!
3. put that smelly in the microwave and nuke it back to germ-free life! Make sure you put the sponge in wet and microwave it on high for 30 seconds. Be VERY CAREFUL---it gets extremely hot since microwaves heat by agitating water molecules so that sponge will be steaming!!

So next time you question whether you should use that gross thing...it is as simple as choosing to pitch, wash, or nuke!!
